The Jaipur Legacy

Decades Immersed in the Art of Handblock Printing

Vanvastra Collections was born in Jaipur — the Pink City — a place where the walls are painted rose and the streets are draped in colour. For centuries, Jaipur has been the spiritual home of India's handblock printing tradition, and it is in this rich cultural soil that our story took root.

Our founders spent years working alongside master craftsmen in the old textile workshops of Sanganer and Bagru, learning the art of block carving, natural dyeing and hand printing. What began as a deep personal fascination with this ancient craft grew into a mission: to bring the beauty of genuine handblock-printed home textiles to homes across India and beyond — without compromising on authenticity or artisan livelihoods.

Today, Vanvastra Collections works with over 100 skilled artisans — many of whom have dedicated more than two decades to mastering this intricate art. Together, we create quilts, bed sheets, table mats and napkins that carry the warmth of human hands and the memory of a thousand-year-old craft.

What Sets Us Apart

Three core beliefs that guide every decision we make

Artisan Authenticity

Not mass-produced, just magic — block by block.

Every Vanvastra textile is printed entirely by hand by a skilled artisan. No digital shortcuts, no screen prints, no two pieces identical. The subtle variations in each impression are not imperfections — they are the signature of a human being at work. When you choose Vanvastra, you choose authenticity over uniformity.

Consciously Crafted

Good for your home, great for our planet and people.

We use natural and low-impact dyes wherever possible, source our fabrics from certified mills, and pay our artisans fairly above market rates. We believe that a beautiful home should not come at the cost of the planet or the people who make it beautiful. Every purchase you make is a vote for a more conscious way of doing business.

Designs That Delight

Prints that turn heads and tell stories.

Our designs are inspired by centuries of Jaipur heritage — Mughal florals, geometric jaalis, Rajasthani paisleys — reimagined for the contemporary home. Each collection is curated to complement modern interiors while honouring the timeless traditions from which it springs. We believe your home should be a place where beauty and story co-exist.

Our Mission

To preserve and celebrate the ancient art of handblock printing by creating beautiful, sustainable home textiles that connect you to the artisans who make them — and to the centuries of tradition behind each design.

Our Vision

A World Where Every Home Holds a Story

We envision a world where handcrafted objects are treasured over mass-produced commodities — where choosing a table mat or a quilt is an act of conscious appreciation for the human skill that made it.

We are committed to growing the Vanvastra family of artisans, expanding our range of natural dye colours, and making authentic block-printed textiles accessible to every home — without ever compromising on the integrity of the craft or the welfare of the people who practise it.
